The 2021 Downtown Melbourne Food and Wine Festival was nothing short of amazing! On November 13, the town got to taste the deliciousness that over 50 restaurants, bars, breweries, distilleries, and other local businesses have to offer. Not only were the food and drinks spectacular, but the entertainment was just as exceptional! Derek and the Slammers, a 7-piece band from Orlando, rocked out and had the crowd emphatically dancing while Premiere Dueling Pianos played requests that had everyone in the crowd cheering. There was even a drum circle with extra drums for those adventurous enough to partake in creating a rhythmic beat. And if that wasn't enough, Maslow, an extraordinary local artist, presented his surprise art work that blew everyone away, especially since everyone at the festival had the opportunity to leave their mark on the painting! Finally, for the sponsors and big spenders, the VIP tent had it's own private bar and food stations, with the chefs cooking right there in the tent, a cigar lounge with whiskey tasting, and outdoor seating under the twinkling lights that decorated all the trees on Vernon Street.
I must thank the wonderful Main Street Melbourne and Downtown Melbourne crews that put this fantastic event together! A big shoutout and job well done to the volunteers that worked so hard to make sure everyone was having a great time while still enjoying the electric environment. And a very special thank you to the Melbourne Police for keeping everyone safe and sound!
I am so honored to have had the opportunity to capture the joy and happiness in our city during this memorable event. We all sure needed a relaxing night out on the town after the last couple years! I can't wait to see what is in store for next year's festival!
